Q4 2020 – From research to prototype

Originally, Lockcard was only meant to be a case-study. I was passionate about the problem and wanted to solve it outside of just design.

Q1 2021 — Beta, Launch, early users

We outsourced development of V1 to release our public beta fast. Got early exposure, and then prepared marketing material to go public.

Q2 2021 — Building a team

Lockcard users were starting to request new features and complain about the way certain existing ones were designed. Lost in all this scattered information, undecided on how to prioritize user feedback.

Q3 2021 – Users, features, early monetization?

Learning about our power-users in an attempt to build the right features.

Q4 2021 – User auth, Chinese dictionary, SRS algorithm...

We are trying to tackle some of the larger structural problems Lockcard will face as it grows. Emphasis on 'trying'.
